- 53 % of the 2.5 million IT-40 forms submitted to Indiana have been electronicly

generated. This means at one point or another this data was available in electronic

format. However, the majority of these are printed out and have to be re-keyed.

- There are 26 software companies which produce the IT-40 for paid preparer use,

and 2 for home use

- You can see that scanning the document in will be much simplier, acurate,

and require fewer steps

- Every form that we can get printed with the barcode will save the Indiana

taxpayers money
